I don't know for sure/definite - WordReference Forums
It's not as common as 'to know for sure', but I have definitely come across 'to know for definite' and to 'know for certain' and don't see any reason why they would be wrong.

I don't know what right or wrong is vs I don't know what is right or ...
The statement's intended meaning would be much clearer in speech, where a speaker could give a word special emphasis with his tone of voice: I don't know what is right. = I don't know what right is. Without any emphasis, I don't know what is right means, roughly, I don't know which one of the options/choices is right.

meaning of upfront, to let down, to commit? - WordReference Forums
Example: I’m being completely upfront so I don’t let you down. I don’t think I have the time right now to commit to anything romantic. Hi! Could someone help me to understand the words in this example? I’ve spent quite a few hours figuring out all these definitions, but still struggling with...

Disprezzare - WordReference Forums
If so, I don't know an equally fixed equivalent in English, but one may express the same idea by saying something like: "A woman who first looks down on a man may well end up looking on him with favour" (this does not suggest marriage, however). For the record, disprezzare may be translated in lots of ways depending on the exact context.

كسب الرهانات - WordReference Forums
Edit: Rereading the whole sentence, I see تحديات (challenges) is already used Though I don't understand what the writer means by رفع التحديات Still, I think you shouldn't translate رهانات in this context with anything like bet or gambling. Maybe a synonym of challenge (if there's any) or just grouping all with one verb...

Glow-worm, firefly - WordReference Forums
I note that there have been previous threads, predominantly American, about fireflies. I am interested in European usage. I don't know whether the creatures or the words are the same in America. Both glow-worm and firefly are translated by luciérnaga according Collins dictionary. The RAE...

well impressed with - WordReference Forums
Hello everybody! I've read this sentence on the Net, but I don't know if it's correct in "proper" English. The sentence is this: "He was very well impressed with this gorgeous woman" What do you think? Thank you! :)

I'm done - WordReference Forums
Now, how would you say something like "I am done cutting the grass" or something, using a verb. That confuses me. Also, i have a question about saying "Because you know it, they don't." How would you say that? I am so confused with the part saying they don't. I don't understand how to say that. thanks!

tight schedule | WordReference Forums
Is tight the correct word in this sentence? Can anyone check the rest of the sentence? Thank you in advance Although Mr. Arnal has already a very tight schedule this week, a short trip to London could eventually be organized. If you let me know when you would be available, I’d do my best to...

Servicios Escolares - WordReference Forums
Hello! Could someone help me, please? I don't know how to translate this in English: "La Secretaría de Servicios Académicos a través de la Dirección de...
